POSITION SUMMARY
Harris-Stowe State University seeks a knowledgeable and detail-oriented ERP Analyst to support, maintain, enhance, and optimize the University’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment and related administrative systems. The Analyst serves as a key liaison between Information Technology, functional departments, vendors, and institutional leadership, ensuring that ERP systems effectively support operational, financial, human resources, student services, and reporting needs. The role combines technical knowledge, analytical ability, customer service, and business process improvement to advance modernization and operational efficiency across the institution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide day-to-day support, administration, and maintenance of the ERP platform and related enterprise applications.
• Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements, workflow enhancements, and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, Student Affairs, Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, and Academic Affairs to gather requirements and address operational needs.
• Troubleshoot ERP issues involving user access, integrations, workflows, data integrity, reporting, and application functionality.
• Coordinate ERP upgrades, patches, testing, deployments, and system configuration changes.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data imports, exports, integrations, and automated processes between institutional systems.
• Build reports and perform data analysis using SQL queries, reporting platforms, and dashboards.
• Support Single Sign-On (SSO), identity management, and role-based access control initiatives.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on escalations, software updates, and implementation efforts.
• Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management activities.
• Maintain ERP documentation, technical procedures, workflow diagrams, and knowledgebase articles.
• Support data security, FERPA compliance, auditing standards, and institutional governance requirements.
• Provide end-user support and training for faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Assist with disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup validation for ERP systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Three to five years of experience supporting ERP systems, enterprise applications, or institutional administrative systems.
• Experience with SQL querying, relational databases, and report generation.
• Familiarity with integrations, APIs, SSO technologies, and identity management concepts.
• Understanding of business processes related to Finance, HR, Payroll, Student Information Systems, or Institutional Reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong customer-service orientation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with higher education ERP platforms such as Jenzabar, Banner, or PeopleSoft.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Cognos, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with SAML/SSO integrations, Active Directory, and Entra ID.
• Experience supporting SaaS and cloud-based ERP solutions.
• Exposure to project management methodologies and change management practices.
• Knowledge of FERPA, data governance, and information security best practices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily an office and computer-based environment. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required during system upgrades, maintenance windows, or critical implementations. May require occasional lifting of equipment up to 25 pounds.
