- Support the creation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends and variances, and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Lead and support managers in annual budget development process.
- Evaluate performance against budget and develop financial reforecasts for accurate projections.
- Oversee and manage all accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting.
- Complete and oversee banking requirements and cash management activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop, analyze, document, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial goals with business objectives and provide financial insight to support operational planning and business initiatives.
- Support annual audits including financial, insurance, bank, 401k, etc.
- Support biweekly hourly and salaried payroll processing for multiple sites.
- Monitor department workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and resource utilization.
- Support system improvements and process automation initiatives, including ERP system optimization.
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, cost and inventory accounting) and financial controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to actively move through office space to work with staff.
- Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen.
- Hearing must be correctable to allow extensive use of telephone and voicemail as well as participate in discussions among large groups.
- Mobility and coordination must allow for required tasks to be performed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 + years’ experience in Accounting and Finance.
- CPA, CMA, or advanced accounting certification preferred.
- Manufacturing experience with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning preferred.
