Accounts Receivable/Payroll Clerk

Job Skills / Requirements

Primary Functions

• Generate and mail monthly invoices and as needed by subsidiaries subcontractors
• Sort, review, and apply check payments to customer account balances
• Process payments for deposit
• Computer Data Entry, including but not limited to:
• •  Hand typed invoices
  • Cash receipts
• Generate computer reports, including but not limited to: 
• • Weekly Reports
  • • A/R aging reports
    • Closing reports
    • Sales summary
  • Monthly
  • • New Customers
    • Discontinued Customers
  • Yearly
  • • End of Year reporting
• Monitor A/R for past due amounts
• Effectively communicate with subsidiaries to ensure all accounts are within payment terms
• Alert Senior Management if demand letters are required

Secondary Functions:

Assisting payroll with the following duties:

• processing applications
• entering employee data change information
• assisting with processing payroll data for printing
• entering payroll budget information

Assisting fellow office staff with regular tasks:

• Answering phone calls and transferring them correctly
• Sorting mail
• ordering office supplies
• stocking breakroom
• filing paperwork as needed

This job requires the ability to stand, bend, walk and lift up to 20lbs for extended periods of time as needed. Candidate must have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and auto insurance as the position requires driving to the bank and post office regularly. Candidate should have at least 1-2 years entry level accounting experience. Basic skills in computer use, multi-line phones, and Microsoft suite are required.
