Job Description:

Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist or Senior to join our Treasury Services team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. Our work plays a critical role in communities we serve across Idaho and Oregon, and we’re working hard to safely provide our customers with the safe, reliable, and affordable energy they depend on. While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.

What does an Accounts Payable Specialist or Senior do for us?

Under limited supervision, this position manages and oversees the corporate purchasing card program, analyzes and processes payment documents in an accurate and efficient manner, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include cardholder account management, transaction research and review, reconciliation, reporting, audit support, and issue resolution. This role partners with employees, leadership, vendors, and banking representatives to provide training, promote policy compliance, mitigate risk, and maximize program effectiveness. The position operates in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines, frequent interruptions, and time-sensitive issues that require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, customer-focused, and experienced in accounts payable, finance, and procurement environments. They develop procedures for new processes. Senior level employees will also serve as primary liaison with outside service providers to meet company objectives.
In addition to the meaningful work we do, we offer work-life balance, competitive pay and benefits, an employee incentive plan, and both a 401k employer-match and a pension plan, making Idaho Power one of the best employers in the state.
