Our portfolio includes 16+ brands and thousands of unique products.Position Title: Accounts Payable Customer Service SpecialistPosition Overview:The Accounts Payable Specialist handles all accounts payable tasks. The specialist will provide a customer service-oriented interface for all internal and external customers, comprised of employees and vendors.Objectives and Responsibilities:Respond professionally to all Accounts Payable inquiriesCapture expenses by receiving, processing, and reconciling invoicesAssist with validating vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, review of purchase orders, and discrepancy resolutionEnsure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, and identify discount opportunitiesAssist with opening mail, scanning, and emailing to the correct department/personPull invoices from online Vendor Portals and processRecord vendor ACH paymentsReconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing vendor statementsVerify expenses by analyzing invoices and recording entries to accounts, departments, and cost centersResolves discrepancies by auditing purchase order, invoice, or payment documentationEnsures refunds or credit is received for outstanding credit memosMaintains vendor ledgers by verifying and posting account transactionsProtects organization’s value by keeping financial information confidentialUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesAccomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as neededOther related duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Proficient in ExcelExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent professional communication skillsMinimum of an associate degree preferredExperience with AP preferredProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteMust be able to learn other accounting software systemsAbility to maintain confidential and meticulous recordsCritical ThinkingAbility to cultivate vendor relationshipsMust have great adaptabilityAbility to work in a fast-paced / high-volume environmentAbility to work on a team and independentlyAdditional Details & Benefits:Full-time with Competitive PayHealth Benefits PackageDTO401(k)Located in Salt Lake City, Utah (In-office position)Notice to Recruiters — We do not work with outside recruiting agencies.
