Foley Mansfield is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. If you are interested in growing as an accounts payable professional and working with a great team, we want to hear from you. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. Candidates must reside in MN.
The essential functions of this position include:
- Process invoices, expense reports, and record payments accurately and timely.
- Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Research and resolve invoice, payment, and vendor discrepancies.
- Maintain organized accounts payable records and files.
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues and obtain required information.
- Follow established procedures and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field OR 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting or ERP system preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently.
