Position Summary

This position is responsible for processing and maintaining accounts payable transactions for the school district. This position ensures invoices, purchase orders, payments, and related financial records are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with district policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Skills/knowledge:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain organized financial records and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work effectively with school district staff, administrators, and vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and accounting or financial-management software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
  • Knowledge of accounts payable procedures, purchase orders, invoice processing, and basic accounting principles
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Health & safety requirements (if applicable):

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently use a keyboard, computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move files, boxes, or office supplies as required.

Wage/salary range:

$28.65-$34.74

Clarkston School District offers a competitive benefits package to employees who work half-time or more. These benefits are administered by the Washington State Health Care Authority/Public Employee Benefits Board.
Medical: Choice of medical plans. Employee cost is dependent upon which plan is chosen and which family members are covered.
Dental: Dental insurance is a mandatory benefit and is free to the employee and family.
Life Insurance: Basic life insurance in the amount of $35,000 is mandatory and is free to the employee. Additional/optional life insurance can be purchased at an additional cost for the employee and family.
Long-term Disability Insurance:  Basic long-term disability insurance is optional for an additional cost.
