Accounting Specialist

True North Federal Credit Union is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Department. This position helps process the daily financial transactions that keep our Credit Union running smoothly.

• Process checks and share drafts.
• Process ACH files and exceptions.
• Process wire transfers.
• Process accounts payable.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Order and reconcile debit and credit cards.
• Help branch staff with account research and adjustments.
• Place branch and ATM cash orders.
• Complete other accounting duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or related experience.
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Good math and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Knowledge of accounting principles is a plus..
