About The Role:

The role requires a strong foundation in financial principles and expertise, along with a willingness to learn the company's internal processes and procedures. The successful candidate will also be expected to invest time in understanding how to optimize workflows and improve processes to ensure efficient and productive operations.

 *NOTE: This is NOT a remote position. The applicant must be able to work from our Puebla, Mexico office. 

Responsibilities:

• Process and record expense reports, invoices, and journal entries to maintain accurate ledgers.
• Perform monthly bank and corporate card reconciliations and manage petty cash.
• Support payroll processing, including data entry, tax compliance, and employee training.
• Prepare working papers for tax calculations and file payroll-related taxes.
• Manage fixed asset registration and calculate depreciation and amortization.
• Analyze costs for operational areas and manage travel expenses.
• Execute foreign currency valuations and adjust for exchange rate fluctuations.
• Utilize accounting software (CONTPAQi, NetSuite) for daily financial operations.
• Operate and manage accounting systems (CONTPAQi, NetSuite).
• Provide general administrative and accounting support to the broader accounting department.

Requirements:

• Graduate in Accounting, Finance or other applicable degree(s).
• Experience working with the Mexican tax and social security platforms (SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and IDSE).
• Intermediate Excel experience.
• Management of accounting software (ContPaq, NetSuite).
• English conversational and reading skills
