Accounting Specialist - GrowoutLocation: Pittsburg, Texas
Position SummaryThe Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks to support grower payments, flock cost tracking, inventory monitoring, and accounts payable/receivable functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and outside grow-out locations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare grower payments, settlements, bank assignments, IRS levies, fuel pay, bonus pay, and incentive pay.
• Track and verify costs on broiler and/or breeder flocks.
• Perform breeder flock closings on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Capitalize pullet flocks weekly and monthly.
• Monitor broiler and/or breeder inventories on a weekly basis.
• Enter accounts payable and accounts receivable for broiler/breeder growers and contract catchers/haulers.
• Manage accounts receivable deductions by placing items on hold or removing holds as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized grower files.
• Collaborate regularly with internal and external auditors.
• Communicate daily with outside grow-out locations via email and phone.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

• Typically requires 2 years of clerical or accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with accuracy.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday with some weekend work required;

• Base salary range of $34,255.00 - $38,536.20; depending on experience
