Loan Accounting Specialist

Job Overview:

The Loan Accounting Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling loan accounts, including fee waivers, payment corrections, and daily account balancing. This individual will process investor payments, dealer floor plan payments, and advances, while ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all accounting tasks related to loans. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for success in this role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform loan maintenance tasks such as fee waivers, payment corrections, and updates to loan records.
• Daily balancing of monthly and weekly accounts.
• Manage loan funding processes and enter daily block work.
• Process investor payments, dealer floor plan payments, and advances.
• Timely and accurate reconciliation of loan-related accounts, including balancing reports and non-post accounts.
• Ensure all accounting transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in loan operations or a related field
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
