Accounting & Payroll Specialist

Bob Barker Company is looking for a self-motivated Accounting & Payroll Specialist to manage company payroll and general accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payrolls.
• Prepare and process monthly and quarterly Incentive Program payrolls.
• Maintain monthly and quarterly Incentive Program metrics.
• Ensure timely response and resolution of payroll related issues and questions.
• Import all payroll data and accruals to the general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries and post to general ledger; Reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts.
• Partner with People Support to ensure any payroll changes and updates are accurate.
• Stay on top of local, state, and federal laws relating to payroll.
• Reconcile quarterly payroll taxes.
• Filing of company sales & use tax.
• File business licenses and annual reports.
• Manage company credit card program.
• Assist with month-end close.
• Assist with payroll and accounting audits.
• Support accounting team with special projects or assignments.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• At least 5 years’ payroll and accounting experience.
• Knowledge of payroll policies and basic accounting procedures including month-end close.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to learn and effectively utilize various software applications.
• UKG & NetSuite experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail.

Compensation

Base salary of $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience and qualifications plus participation in our monthly Get Paid Incentive Program. Team members who achieve target performance can expect total annual compensation of approximately $72,000 - $84,000.
