Our client is a growing biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and delivering innovative treatments for patients with serious and rare diseases. The company is committed to improving patient outcomes while continuing to expand its teams and operations.

About the Role

This person will support payroll for several hundred employees across multiple states and must be able to step into the role with limited training.

This is not a position for someone who needs to learn payroll from the ground up. The ideal candidate will already understand the payroll process, payroll review, payroll reconciliations, timesheets, and payroll adjustments and can quickly learn Travere's specific processes.

The Payroll Specialist will work closely with Payroll, Human Resources, and Accounting and will spend significant time reviewing payroll, checking entries, reconciling payroll data, and identifying discrepancies before payroll is finalized.

The company is growing quickly, so there may be opportunities for additional work or future roles, but any extension or permanent opportunity is not guaranteed.

What You'll Do

Required Qualifications & Experience

Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months to provide maternity leave coverage, with strong potential for extension based on business needs. The company is experiencing significant growth, and there may be opportunities for a longer-term position as the team continues to expand.

This person needs to be a true payroll professional who can step in and contribute quickly. The team has a small Payroll department, so the person must be comfortable jumping in, reviewing payroll, asking questions, finding discrepancies, and helping keep payroll on track.

The role is especially focused on review and accuracy, not simply data entry. The Payroll Specialist will follow the work being completed by the team, review the payroll entries and supporting documentation, compare payroll results, and help identify anything that does not look right.
