Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuations, and production variances
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Partner with operations, purchasing, and production teams to improve financial performance and cost controls
- Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency
- Assist with capital expenditure analysis, special projects, and ad hoc reporting
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of accounting, financial analysis, or manufacturing accounting experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and cost accounting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
