Location: Greenville, SC
Position Overview:
This role supports the accounting and financial operations for two growing automotive manufacturing facilities within a global Tier 1 automotive supplier. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, analyzing manufacturing costs, and partnering with operations to ensure financial accuracy across the plants. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who has a strong manufacturing background and is looking for long-term career growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general accounting functions supporting two automotive manufacturing facilities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Support manufacturing accounting processes, including inventory transactions, production reporting, and cost analysis
- Review and reconcile manufacturing documentation, including bills of lading and other operational records
- Analyze financial data and identify trends to support operational and business decisions
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal financial controls
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance organization
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment required
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and manufacturing accounting processes
- Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
- Demonstrated desire for long-term career growth and professional development within a manufacturing organization
