Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant | Farmington, MO

We're currently partnered with a growing public accounting firm in the Farmington, MO area that is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of accounting, tax, and client interaction, and is looking to grow within a firm that values both technical development and client service.

What you'll be doing:

• Performing general accounting and bookkeeping functions
• Preparing financial statements
• Handling payroll and payroll tax processing
• Preparing individual and corporate tax returns
• Working directly with clients to simplify complex financial and tax matters
• Supporting a variety of engagements across different industries

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2–5 years of public accounting experience preferred
• CPA or CPA-candidate is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
• Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online)
• Familiarity with Sage 50 and UltraTax is a plus

Compensation:

$60,000 – $80,000 base + bonus potential
