About the role
Accountants drive the agency’s financial health and strategic growth by ownership of the full-cycle month-end close, advanced financial reporting, and predictive modeling. In this role, you will transform raw operational data into actionable insights, establishing the critical KPIs and forecasts necessary to maximize agency profitability and scale entertainment marketing campaigns efficiently.
What you'll do
- Prepare KPIs on a weekly basis including A/P, A/R, MTD Revenue and cash balances
- Cost accounting and measurement of gross margin and gross profit for each job
- Recording financial transactions
- Weekly updates of QBO
- Weekly updates of general ledger and P&Ls
- Weekly Bank reconciliation
- Weekly Credit Card Reconciliation
- Account Receivables and Account Payable processing and maintenance
- Monitor Cash Flow
- Produce Financial Reports
- Run and maintain payroll system
- Follow up with employees regarding time recording errors or meal break waivers
- Manages with 401k and Union contributions
- Report Union Hours biweekly
- Prepare accurate financials in QuickBooks prior to submission to CPA
- Coordinate tax preparation with outside CPA
- Prepare and deliver year-end 1099’s to freelancers and vendors
- Direct, interact, train, and support billing coordinators.
- Assist HR and Operations as necessary
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing books in multiple locations/offices/departments.
- Computer skills required:
- Expert in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Preferred Experience with the rest ofMicrosoft Office Suite, Rippling, Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite, FileMaker
