KBC is seeking a qualified Accountant to support the fulfillment of the organization’s financial activities, which includes Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), billing, corporate card program, audit response, financial reporting, budgeting and other related functions. The role has oversight of payroll processing and employee timekeeping, and is an ADP system administrator. Reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides prompt and accurate internal customer service for Accounting department, analyzes data, and develops reports, upon request.
- Fulfills A/P duties, ensuring timely and accurate invoice payment and employee reimbursement; maintains vendor profile information and ledger account entries.
- Manages A/R processes including billing, bank deposits, customer payment postings, and ledger account entries.
- Primary ADP payroll and timekeeping administrator, including biweekly processing and HRIS compensation data entry and journal entries.
- Maintains fixed asset purchase and disposal records and depreciation schedules in accounting system, providing related general journal entry details, as needed.
- Responsible for the administration of the organization’s corporate card program.
- Supports CFO with periodic financial statements, audits, inventory and account reconciliation.
- Complies with regulations pertaining to payroll and financial practices.
- Remains current on industry trends and best practices, and contributes to the efficiency and continuous improvement of accounting department processes and services by recommending and implementing new approaches, technology, policies, and procedures.
- Fulfills other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related major, required; CPA is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar accounting background with appropriate combination of experience and education.
- Advanced MS Office and Excel user with keyboarding/data entry proficiency and the ability to effectively navigate web applications and custom systems.
- Must have applicable knowledge of accounting and payroll applications; ADP experience is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service, problem solving, and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions while dealing with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to work independently with strict deadlines and under pressure.
- Occasional evenings and weekends.
