What You'll Do

As a Staff Accountant II, you will support the Accounting department by ensuring accurate financial reporting and performing detailed account analysis and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accounting and reconciliation activities related to used machinery sales costing and inventory. Prepare and reconcile Heavy Equipment Inventory Tax and Motor Vehicle Inventory Tax reports. Reconcile Accounts Receivable, Notes Receivable, Bad Debt Allowance, accrual accounts, and other balance sheet accounts. Maintain accounting records for partnership entities and assist with monthly close activities. Analyze monthly used machinery and partnership gross profits and expenses. Prepare financial reports and provide analysis to department leadership. Identify discrepancies, research variances, and recommend corrective actions. Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the Accounting department. Perform additional accounting and financial analysis duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience. Strong account reconciliation and financial analysis skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience using Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and VLOOKUP. Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with inventory accounting. Experience in dealership, construction, heavy equipment, or multi-location environments. Knowledge of QuickBooks. Experience working with partnership accounting and financial reporting.
