About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a variety of accounting functions that directly support the organization's financial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, managing transactional accounting, and contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Prepare and process payroll on a bi-weekly basis while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
• Generate customer invoices and support billing activities to ensure timely collections.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and analyze variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor operating expenses and provide insights to support budgeting and financial planning efforts.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support internal controls and assist with audit requests from external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance leadership on special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
