General Purpose of the Position:
The Senior Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role will be responsible for preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with key close processes across multiple areas of the balance sheet and P&L.
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller and broader finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely completion of all close-related responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications
· Consolidate multiple entities and several currencies
· Support intercompany billing and prepare eliminations and reconciliations
· Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audit and reporting purposes
· Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner
· Support month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is accurate
· Assist with fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
· Maintain and track prepaid expenses and related amortization schedules
· Record and reconcile P-card (procurement card) activity, including accruals and postings
· Contribute to process improvements and help strengthen internal controls
· Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and complete financial data
· Analyze accounts for proper financial reporting classification
· Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities Required:
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and data entry accuracy
· Analytical Skills: Ability to identify discrepancies, resolve invoice issues, and maintain accurate financial records
· Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and manage high-volume invoice processing
· Communication Skills: Effective interaction with vendors, internal departments, and management

· Frequent contacts both inside and outside the organization, including employees at all levels of the organization both domestic and international.
Decision/Judgment:
· Significant day-to-day independent decision-making and discretion guided by procedures and supported by supervision of Controller as required
Effort/Working Conditions:
· General industrial office environment
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Requires some extended hours to support projects as needed
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· 3-5+ years of accounting experience (public or private)
· CPA or CPA eligibility
