PURPOSE Under general direction, responsible for the more complex accounting activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing financial statements and reports. Provides training and guidance to less experienced accounting staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITEIS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and four (4) years accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred.

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Knowledge of cost accounting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships Ability to compose effective and efficient accounting reports Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in the use of accounting software package
