Senior Tax Manager

HornBill's client, a leading global law firm located in New York, NY is currently seeking a Senior Tax Manager. Summary: The client has a beautiful global HQ in midtown. The Senior Tax Manager will assist with the research, preparation and review of various company tax returns. Responsibilities:

• Review federal and state partnership income tax returns
• Manage the coordination and review of monthly account analysis and workpapers required to prepare the various tax returns
• Review all necessary U.S. returns for foreign entities (e.g. 8858 and 5471)
• Review quarterly estimated tax payments and other tax returns
• Maintain/adjust the tax calendar as needed, staying on top of approaching deadlines
• Fulfill local tax advisor information requests and managing expectations as appropriate.
• Maintain/reconcile the various tax accounts on the general ledger and oversee adjustments to W-2 reporting (imputed income) where needed
• Assist the Tax Director with tax research and other special projects
• Manage all state and local tax audits
• Active involvement with budgeting and forecasting
• Provide direction and support to tax staff as appropriate

• BA/BS in accounting or equivalent education
• CPA and/or Masters in Tax preferred
• 7+ years tax experience, preferably in both Big 4/National firm and private company tax departments.
• Tax compliance experience mandatory; law firm industry experience a plus
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel is mandatory
