Senior General Ledger Accountant

Position: Senior General Ledger Accountant Job Description: About the Role We are looking for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team in Gdańsk or Kraków. This position is designed for an experienced General Ledger / Record-to-Report professional who can independently manage complex accounting activities, statutory requirements, and reporting processes for UK legal entities. You will play a key role during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing cycles while acting as a trusted finance partner for internal stakeholders, auditors, tax teams, and business functions. We operate in a hybrid work model with 2 days per week in our office in Gdańsk or Kraków. What You Will Do As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will take ownership of accounting, compliance, and reporting activities for assigned Arrow entities. Your Responsibilities Will Include Control and prepare VAT, Intrastat and Sales List Reporting, submission of Vat Returns and related compliance. Hedging and Revaluation. Prepare Corporate Tax returns in cooperation with internal tax team and external consultants. Control and manage the accuracy of General Ledger for the assigned Arrow companies. Statutory accounting and corporation tax work related accounting entries Statutory/Corporate reconciliations and European consolidation, specifically during Quarter and Year End closings. Support and be involved with all audit work. Liaising with the Accounts Payable and other business areas where required. Prepare any necessary variance analysis for all the above. Support other accountants within the team on a variety of tasks to meet the total needs of the finance department. Involvement with developing new/efficient processes/procedures within the accounting team. Provide support and assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc tasks. Who You Are You are an experienced GL/RTR professional with a strong understanding of financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and statutory requirements. You can work independently, take ownership of complex accounting matters, and effectively collaborate with stakeholders across different countries and functions. Skills & Experience Required • Solid experience in General Ledger / Record-to-Report accounting • Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting activities • Strong knowledge of statutory accounting, VAT processes, and financial controls • Experience supporting audits and working with tax-related processes • Advanced English skills (C1) • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities What We Offer Premium Medical Care programme, including a dental package MyBenefit System, including a MultiSport Card and vouchers Career development opportunities in a rapidly growing international environment Dynamic and collaborative workplace with a friendly atmosphere Who Are We?
