Senior Accountant

Who you are:

The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Corporate Finance and work closely with the accounting team members. The Senior Accountant will support in the preparation of financial statements, reconcile balance sheets and cash accounts, participate in the audit process, and analyze trends to influence positive financial results. The Senior Accountant will make sure all deadlines are achieved, and all work products are of the highest standard. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize time-sensitive work with a sense of urgency.

What you’ll do:

• Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders
• Support monthly financial close process, prepare monthly activities including journal entries related to cash activity, prepaids and fixed assets
• Record and reconcile due to/due from accounts for partnered businesses
• Ensure fixed asset additions are recorded properly, validating depreciation start dates and useful lives
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accrued expenses and intercompany accounts
• Prepare bank account reconciliations
• Prepare documentation for external auditors and tax advisors
• Support ad hoc projects or analyses as needed

What we need from you:

• 3+ years of Accounting, Finance or related experience (restaurant or retail industry is preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA strongly preferred
• NetSuite knowledge strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication
