The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the Controllership function which oversees the accounting group. This position is an integral part of our monthly closing which includes responsibilities such as reconciling higher risk general ledger accounts, recording journal entries, and reporting of key financial schedules and statements all while ensuring compliance with company policies and US GAAP. This position reports to the VP, Global Accounting & Treasury coupled with significant partnering with other business partners. Job Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in and assist with the monthly/quarterly/annual financial close process in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of journal entries for multiple global entities with complete supporting documentation, which includes managing high-risk accruals.

Prepare and review various and complex account reconciliations and account analysis monthly for multiple global entities.

Collaborate with Forj Medical international subsidiaries to ensure financials are in accordance with US GAAP. Perform and assist with various accounting research for new accounting pronouncements and new company initiatives, which include preparation of white papers. Partner with external and internal auditors compiling information to complete various audits timely and accurately. Support the annual insurance renewal process. Assist in analyzing internal controls to ensure we are compliant and implement internal control/process improvements.

A key focus of this position will be to improve business processes by eliminating waste and increasing quality while achieving and maintaining optimal levels of process performance.

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university or equivalent CPA preferred.

Experience:

Minimum five (5) years of public accounting and/or industry experience that includes financial reporting and US GAAP 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, medical device, or CDMO environment.

Skills:

Technology - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook & PowerPoint; very strong Excel. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Working Habits - Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively. Must be able to multi-task, manage time well and meet critical deadlines. Communication - Excellent interpersonal & communications skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills. Established, hands-on experience utilizing Epicor ERP or similar ERP for manufacturing accounting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee is frequently required to talk or hear. Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
