Senior Accountant – Commercial Construction
Support the financial operations of a growing construction organization by managing key accounting functions, payroll, financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit support, and accounts receivable. Work closely with leadership and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial operations.

What You'll Do
- Manage accounts receivable processes and monitor A/R aging to support collection efforts and cash flow management.
- Reconcile key balance sheet and general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Process weekly payroll accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Record payroll transactions and allocate labor costs appropriately across projects and cost codes.
- Maintain payroll records, deductions, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and accounting close activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and accounting reviews.
- Provide accounting and reporting support for subsidiary entities.
- Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting.
- Support the accounting team with workload balancing and cross-functional coverage as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with accounts receivable, account reconciliations, payroll, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
- Construction accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software; Viewpoint Spectrum experience is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
