About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide critical accounting coverage while supporting an ERP implementation that is reshaping finance processes across Canada and the U.S. This role is a blended Accounting + ERP project support opportunity—ideal for someone who enjoys balancing month-end execution with hands-on process documentation and testing.

You’ll be day-to-day coordinated by the lead Project Manager, with month-end work aligned to Controller, and you will report into the Project Manager for implementation-related deliverables. The expected split will start at approximately 70% business support / 30% project work, shifting toward 70% project involvement once implementation ramps up. You’ll join a finance team managing a fast-paced close cadence and complex inventory accounting, with added support needed as team members are pulled into Phase 2 of Epicor.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Epicor ERP implementation (business/admin side) through:
• Documenting SOPs, work instructions, and training materials
• Supporting and/or owning testing activities, including test cases and test documentation
• Detailing and documenting finance processes for P2P (procure-to-pay) and order-to-cash
• Assisting with issue logging, follow-ups, and general project administration
• Completing and improving documentation/testing items that were left less complete by Deloitte
• Provide accounting coverage and operational support, including:
• Assisting with month-end close activities within an ~8-day close cycle
• Preparing reconciliations (including bank reconciliations)
• Supporting payroll reconciliations (until a dedicated payroll hire is in place)
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Supporting inventory accounting activities (including complex inventory lifecycle items)
• Compiling monthly reporting and supporting ad-hoc reporting needs
• Providing AR support as required
• Supporting audit preparation and organization
• Handling ad-hoc accounting requests and general accounting tasks (daily/weekly)

What You Bring

• Senior-level capability supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort operating within an established close cadence (currently approximately 8 days) and supporting heavier workloads during month-end periods
• Experience supporting core accounting activities including:
• Bank reconciliations
• Payroll reconciliations
• Inventory accounting support
• Monthly reporting compilation
• Audit prep/organization
• Exposure to ERP implementations is highly beneficial, especially:
• Process documentation (SOPs/work instructions)
• Testing coordination and test documentation
• Issue tracking/logging and training documentation
• Ability to partner effectively with multiple stakeholders (finance leads and project leadership) while managing shifting priorities across project and BAU work
