As Scout’s Procurement Analyst, you will help procure utility-scale wind, solar, energy storage, and high-voltage equipment - some of the fastest-growing technologies in the power sector. You will build expertise across the commercial, technical, and financial sides of renewable energy while contributing analysis that helps the team make well-informed decisions. This dynamic position will allow you to directly impact Scout’s long-term ability to power the energy transition. You will gain exposure to a broad spectrum of work – across technologies, at every stage of procurement, and interacting with every team within Scout. You will be in the mix, creating solutions to complex challenges by leading deals and negotiating with counterparties while working collaboratively across organizational boundaries. You will join Scout’s Procurement team, which is responsible for optimizing for the lowest cost of energy to Scout while maintaining safety and quality. You will report to the Associate Director of Procurement, a lifetime procurement professional with a passion for teamwork, achievement and learning with 20 years in the field. Key duties in your role will include the following: Maintain current market intelligence on commodities, tariffs, suppliers, logistics, regulations, and other relevant market information. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely procurement-related information in Salesforce, Oracle, Power BI, SharePoint, and approved procurement trackers. Develop and maintain repeatable reports, trackers, planners, templates, and data-quality checks that reduce manual work and improve procurement visibility. Support preparation and maintenance of the Procurement department budget, forecasts, commitments, and variance explanations. Maintain the Pay and Cancel dashboard, including forecast updates, payment-status changes, supporting explanations, and recurring distribution. Maintain the Procurement workload register and prepare capacity, pipeline, and status reporting for department leadership. Support Category Managers throughout the RFP and RFQ processes by preparing sourcing files, bidder lists, schedules, communications, proposal logs, clarification trackers, technical review packages, and commercial comparison materials. Lead invoice review, troubleshooting, receiving-status confirmation, and payment-readiness activities; verify alignment with applicable PO, contract, milestone, and supporting-document requirements and route exceptions to the responsible approver. Coordinate the procurement-side workflow for new-supplier anti-bribery and Corruption vetting and Sustainable Supply Chain due diligence on behalf of the Category Managers. Lead procurement-side technical-document control by maintaining submittal logs, version history, review status, approval evidence, and complete project files. Technical acceptance remains with the designated technical approver. Lead the procurement side of project financing by interfacing with suppliers to acquire project financing legal and commercial documentation. Identify recurring process gaps, control weaknesses, duplication, and manual work; recommend practical improvements and support approved implementation. Develop or update work instructions, templates, trackers, and reporting tools for assigned processes. Support recurring departmental reporting and other analytical assignments consistent with the Procurement Analyst level. Complete other duties as assigned. We will rely on you to develop systems and tools to drive efficiency in our work. To do so, we expect that you will integrate the expertise you have developed in previous roles while continuing to advance your knowledge of our industry and innovation in procurement. Requirements You are an analytically-minded, collaborative professional who enjoys working with a wide range of people and is passionate about the ways that renewable energy will make the world a better place. You can identify and communicate risks, organize in contractual terms and are creative in the way you manage that risk in the context of competing priorities. Subject Matter Expertise Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 1–3 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, contract administration, project coordination, business analytics, finance, or a related function is a plus. Ability to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations, and risk/benefit tradeoffs, both in written, verbal, and presentation format. Ability to collaborate with Category Managers and cross-functional stakeholders while working within established approval and decision rights. High level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Automate, Power BI, Python, or data analytics applications is required. Working Style Independent learner who can quickly apply lessons learned in one area to all other work areas.
