Payroll Specialist

Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll while providing exceptional support to employees and maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment and is looking to contribute to a company experiencing continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule for employees
- Review payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, earnings, deductions, and taxes
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity
- Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with payroll tax reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processing
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Partner with HR and Accounting to support employee changes and payroll reporting
- Assist with payroll process improvements and other accounting or HR projects as needed
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices
- Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
