Job Overview:

SK hynix is looking for an experienced and detail-orientedPayroll Manager to oversee our semi-monthly payroll operations in a complex, multi-state environment. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees while maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will serve as a key strategic partner to HR, Finance, and Legal teams, managing everything from tax filings and audits to complex reconciliations and year-end activities.

Responsibilities:

• Process semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in a multi-state environment.
• Update payroll records by entering changes regarding exemptions, insurance/saving deductions, department transfers, etc.
• Review time sheets, wage computation, pay adjustments, off-cycle, bonus, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
• Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, benefits, leave of absence, and taxable fringe benefits.
• Review payroll registers and payroll-related reports before payroll approval and prepare post-payroll reports.
• Partner closely with HR, Finance, Accounting, Benefits, Legal, Tax, and external service providers.
• Support internal, external, financial, tax, and payroll audits.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour, payroll tax, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure accurate handling of garnishments, tax levies, retroactive payments, overpayments, and payroll corrections.
• Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation, review, distribution, and corrections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 
• 7+ years of Payroll experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
• Experience with ADP payroll system is preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Federal and Multi-State employment laws.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxation, wage and hour requirements, reconciliation, and internal controls.
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee data.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Positive and proactive attitude.

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Pay within the provided range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related skills and experience. Your Recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

Pay Range

$105,000 - $150,000 USD
