HornBill has a client that is seeking a Payroll Manager in Providence, Rhode Island (RI). Responsibilities:
- Manage staff and provide coaching and feedback
- Manage the production of payrolls
- Oversee payroll integrations
- Process/review adjustments/corrections
- Ensure payroll reconciliations are completed
- Manage process for transmitting tax deposits to governments
- Reconcile payments for taxes
- Complete government reports
- Analyze system processes for improvement and efficiencies
- Assist employees with questions, and concerns
- Serve as a liaison regarding payroll
- Initiate/coordinate communications regarding payroll issues/updates
- Provide updates to website
- Keep written processes and procedures up-to-date
- Lead related projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting, finance or business management, preferred
- 5-7+ years of experience in a not-for-profit accounting environment, preferably in higher education
- Experience with integrated systems such as Kronos, ADP, and Workday preferred
- Thorough understanding of the payroll field
- Thorough knowledge of payroll computing systems
- Supervisory experience for a team of 3 or more
- Excellent customer relation skills
