Payroll Manager

 We’re Hiring: Payroll Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Managerto take ownership of payroll and benefits accounting for a fast-growing, multi-state QSR organization.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving complex payroll challenges, improving processes, and building scalable systems in a growing organization.

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including full-cycle, multi-state payroll in a high-volume environment

• Experience managing payroll for a workforce of approximately 1,600+ employees

• Strong working knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, deductions, garnishments, reconciliations, and year-end processing

• Hands-on experience with Paylocity strongly preferred

• A strong understanding of timekeeping and the ability to identify and resolve timekeeping or payroll discrepancies before they impact payroll

• Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of delivering accurate, on-time payroll under firm deadlines

• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and resolve complex payroll issues independently

• Ability to recognize when an established process is working, follow it consistently, and recommend improvements when there is a clear business or compliance need

• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with HR Operations, Finance, managers, and third-party providers

• Experience supporting payroll audits, year-end activities, W-2 processing, and payroll-related reporting

• Comfortable taking ownership of the payroll function and being the go-to subject matter expert for payroll questions and issues

• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee and compensation information

 Florence, SC — primarily onsite; remote may be considered for highly qualified candidates who demonstrate strong autonomy, prioritization, and accountability.
