Position: Payroll Clerk
Location: Charleston, WV
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $14.00 per hourJob
Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our administrative team in Charleston. In this role, you will manage day-to-day payroll processing, handle essential clerical tasks, and maintain strong communication with our clients. The ideal candidate is a reliable professional who thrives in a structured office environment and possesses exceptional multitasking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and process accurate employee payroll cycles efficiently using QuickBooks software.Act as the primary point of contact by answering multi-line phones and routing calls.Schedule and coordinate internal and external appointments, meetings, and calendars.Draft, review, and send professional emails to clients while resolving inquiries promptly.Maintain, update, and organize sensitive physical and digital office records and files.Provide general administrative support and complete other related office duties as required.Job
Requirements
Proven proficiency and hands-on experience using QuickBooks payroll software.Solid foundational understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations and codes.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with top-tier customer service.Strong ability to multitask, prioritize urgent deadlines, and maintain strict organization.Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong analytical skills.Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
