We AIM for excellence.  As a Payroll and Benefits Technician , you will be responsible for supporting daily payroll and benefits administration activities. You will work closely with members of the Payroll and Benefits team to ensure data accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and the delivery of high-quality service to employees. What you will be responsible for: Payroll Processing full-cycle payroll for a group of entities; Validating the accuracy of payroll data (hours worked, premiums, etc.) prior to payroll processing; Maintaining employee records, including new hires, salary changes, transfers, job changes, terminations, and other payroll-related updates; Preparing and validating Records of Employment (ROEs); Participating in the administration of garnishments, child support payments, and other statutory deductions; Ensuring the proper treatment of taxable benefits and applicable payroll deductions; Supporting supervisors by responding to payroll-related questions concerning their employees; Conducting audits and reviews of common payroll and benefits errors to ensure data integrity; Participating in payroll corrections and adjustment activities; Assisting with year-end processes, including the validation and preparation of T4s, RL-1s, and other applicable tax slips; Responding to specific inquiries from the Accounting department; Filing various documents; Supporting internal audits as required; Performing other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Benefits Processing benefit enrollment, modification, and termination requests; Participating in the recovery of insurance premiums (employees on leave, disability, etc.); Assisting with the preparation and submission of invoice payments to various vendors; Contributing to data validation activities, including notifications and error management from the insurance provider; Responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits; Maintaining accurate and organized documentation of files and processes; Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and the optimization of processes and tools. To join our team: You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in payroll and benefits administration. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered; You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, etc.; You are detail-oriented and maintain a high level of confidentiality; You have a strong sense of organization and priority management; You are bilingual (French and English); You have the ability to work independently, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate objectivity in carrying out your responsibilities; You demonstrate patience, diplomacy, and sound judgment; You have a strong interest in building and maintaining positive working relationships; You have the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines; You are available to travel, as needed, to our various divisions.
