FP&A Automation Lead

Amazon is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to support FP&A Reporting for Amazon's Global Logistics Inbound Network. This role is focused on financial reporting execution, variance analysis, and business partnership, supporting the Inbound finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and insight-driven reporting to stakeholders.As a core member of the Inbound FP&A Reporting team, you will support the end-to-end weekly and monthly reporting process — with a primary focus on the US/NA Weekly Business Review (WBR). You will be responsible for building and maintaining financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and helping translate complex data into clear narratives for leadership. This is a high-visibility, execution-focused role with strong growth potential for candidates looking to deepen their FP&A and business partnering skills within a large-scale operations finance environment.You will work closely with the Inbound Planning and Execution team, developing a strong understanding of NA Inbound operations, cost drivers, and performance metrics. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with large data sets, thrives in a fast-paced weekly cadence, and wants to build a foundation in strategic finance.Key job responsibilitiesSupport the weekly US/NA WBR process end-to-end — pulling data, building bridges, running variance analysis, and preparing the reporting package on time and accuratelyMaintain and update standardized financial reports and dashboards for Inbound operations, ensuring consistency and data integrityConduct variance analysis and contribute to financial narratives that explain performance drivers versus plan, prior year, and prior weekSupport monthly business reviews and executive reporting packages with accurate, well-structured analysisBuild and maintain financial models supporting forecasting, scenario planning, and ad hoc analysisPartner with operations and cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and reflect them accurately in reportingIdentify opportunities to improve reporting processes, reduce manual steps, and increase accuracy and efficiencySupport the development of KPIs and performance metrics in partnership with senior finance and business leads- 1+ years of finance experience- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills- Experience using data to influence business decisions- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQLAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
