FP&A Analyst (Manufacturing Exp Req) Description

Our client, a Make-to-Order manufacturer, is looking for an FP&A Analyst to add to their team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be the sole FP&A function — a key contributor responsible for cost center reporting, variance analysis, project profitability, margin analysis, and process and efficiency improvement across the business. You will identify opportunities and bring financial clarity in collaboration with strong operations, production, procurement, and project management teams. FP&A Analyst (Manufacturing Exp Req) Responsibilities

•    Own cost center reporting; track and compare approved budgets with actual costs
•    Prepare and communicate detailed analyses of budget vs actual variances and recommendations
•    Analyze stock movements, production variances, and purchase price variances 
•    Identify root causes, clearly translate to financial impact, and recommend corrective action
•    Partner with cost center owners to support financial discipline and corrective actions
•    Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
•    Provide financial insight into production efficiency, yield, and operational performance
•    Translate operational variances into clear financial impact and recommendations
•    Partner with the PM team on project financials, margin tracking, and post-project reviews
•    Monitor cost-to-complete; support pricing, quoting, and bid evaluations financially
•    Perform margin analyses by project, product, customer, and top SKUs
•    Maintain stock age analysis; identify slow-movers, working capital improvement opportunities
•    Own monthly revenue recognition and ensure accuracy of management reporting data
•    Support month-end close through analytical reviews and variance commentary
•    Develop and maintain weekly KPI tracker; support ad hoc analyses and special projects
•    Work with IFS team on finance priorities; identify process and efficiency improvements

FP&A Analyst (Manufacturing Exp Req) Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
•    3+ years experience in FP&A, management accounting, or commercial finance required
•    1+ years experience in manufacturing environment required
•    ERP systems experience required
•    Strong communication skills with aptitude to become a peer leader required
