The Role

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Support monthly forecast and annual budget planning processes.
• Assist with headcount reconciliation and workforce reporting activities.
• Monitor labor and non-labor spend against financial plans.
• Perform variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and presentations.
• Support cost accounting activities, including journal entry preparation and validation.
• Assist with financial modeling and business case development.
• Analyze organizational spending trends and provide recommendations.
• Support process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Maintain data integrity across finance systems, reports, and planning tools.
• Collaborate with finance professionals and business stakeholders to deliver actionable financial insights.

Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in:
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Business Administration (Finance concentration)
• Returning to school following completion of the co-op assignment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Junior or Senior standing with at least one semester remaining after the co-op term.
• Prior internship, co-op, or coursework related to finance, accounting, or business analysis.
• Experience with:
  • Financial modeling
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Financial statement analysis
  • Cost accounting concepts
• Knowledge of financial systems such as SAP, Workday, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or Business Operations.
