The Impact You Will Have
As the Finance Manager, you will play a critical leadership role within the finance team, partnering closely with the Controller to ensure the organization's financial operations run efficiently and accurately. You'll lead day-to-day accounting functions, support a small team, and help strengthen financial processes that enable the organization to achieve its mission. What You Will Do

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial reports to support organizational decision-making.
• Supervise, mentor, and support a small accounting team, including oversight of Accounts Payable.
• Partner closely with the Controller to support the overall finance function and departmental priorities.
• Prepare and file HST returns.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, efficiencies, and internal controls.
• Assist with budgeting, audits, and other finance-related projects as required.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Strong accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting and general accounting operations.
• Experience managing month-end reconciliations and financial close activities.
• HST filing experience is highly preferred.
• Experience working in a not-for-profit environment is strongly preferred.
• CPA designation is considered an asset; candidates actively pursuing their CPA will also be considered.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred; candidates with demonstrated mentorship or informal leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
