Job Description

About this role: 

You will be part of a team responsible for applying the commercial finance strategy supporting Go-to-Market (GTM) Finance across the Americas regions. Looking ahead to the future, while still driving deals forming now, this role helps shape scalable commercial models, strengthen deal governance, and bring financial discipline to complex revenue transactions across the go-to-market process. You will partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Revenue Accounting Controllership, Sales Operations, and Product to translate commercial priorities into applied practical financial guidance. By providing data-driven insights and recommendations, this role will enable informed decisions that support growth, profitability, deal velocity, and customer value.  

 Tasks and Responsibilities:  

• Work with GTM leadership to develop scalable, long-term commercial structures that support ServiceNow’s growth, profitability, and AI-native platform strategy 

• Serve as a trusted regional commercial finance advisor to GTM leaders and cross-functional partners to drive deal velocity, NNACV, and customer outcomes 

• Drive margin analysis, attainment, and actionable insights to support sustainable growth and the future needs of the organization 

• Design, operationalize, and continuously improve AI-enabled scalable commercial finance workflows related to revenue transactions, deal governance, and downstream execution 

• Collect relevant information to form a view on revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606 and collaborate with Revenue Controllership for exceptional situations 

• Drive disciplined change management for process and transformation initiatives, balancing growth, compliance, auditability, and enterprise-scale execution    

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of SaaS, software, or hardware industry experience within GTM Finance, Commercial Finance, or Revenue Recognition Advisory 

• Previous experience with hands-on deal consulting is strongly preferred 

• Proficient understanding of US GAAP software revenue recognition under ASC 606  

• Ability to communicate, simplify, and interpret complex commercial and revenue issues for non-finance stakeholders 

• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence across teams in a fast-moving environment 

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $137,700 - $241,000, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
