Contract type: Full time, permanent Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Finance Controller for the Surgery Business Unit in Nordics. The Finance Controller Surgery in Nordics will provide financial leadership and will be a key member of the Surgery Leadership Team in Nordics, acting as a trusted Business Partner for the respective country General Manager. This role will be reporting to the Senior Finance Director MedTech Surgery MSM. This role includes the development, execution and review of strategies and action plans to improve the value of our portfolio and go-to market models, through data driven analytics enabled by the latest technology advancements. Taking a lead role in the planning of revenue, allocation of resources and optimization of working capital. He/she will also work closely with the franchise sales and marketing managers to contribute to the generation and execution of relevant strategies and play a key role in assessing investment opportunities. In addition, the Finance Controller will play an active role in Surgery MSM Finance Leadership Team and drive effective collaboration with the FP&A teams, Shared Service Centers, the Regional Finance teams while ensuring financial integrity and compliance to the J&J Corporate finance policies. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Business Partnering and Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as a strategic advisor to the Surgery Nordics leadership teams, supporting financial decision-making by providing insights and analysis on new business opportunities / market expansions, investment strategies (incl. resource allocation, cost optimization, portfolio review, new products launches, different go to markets models), pricing (incl. tender and commercial offer) and other key projects (e.g. working capital improvement) to drive profitable growth. Collaborate with functions such as supply chain and HR to deliver financial insights for innovation and operational efficiency. Support market expansions and investment strategies, including resource allocation and portfolio rationalization. Financial Operations and Risk & Compliance Management: Manage the delivery of the P&L for the Surgery Business Unit in Nordics to ensure financial targets are met while balancing risks and opportunities. Conduct thorough analysis and provide actionable insights to drive execution. Oversee monthly and quarterly closing activities, working closely with Accounting Organization and regional support teams, ensuring accurate communication with the business and compliance with regulations and internal controls. Ensure all financial processes, including statutory requirements, meet the highest standards of compliance. Technology and Digital Transformation: Lead the adoption of advanced financial analytics, new system implementations, automation, and ERP systems to enhance efficiency. Implement predictive analytics for forecasting and develop real-time data reporting dashboards for better decision-making. Foster digital mindset within the team Stay updated on industry trends in FinTech and digital transformation. People Management: Foster partnerships with regional finance teams, FP&A CoE, TAX, Global Services Organizations, Treasury, developing a high-performance culture among finance personnel. Mentor and lead one Finance Analyst, promoting accountability and transparency within the team and strong talent agenda across finance community. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) Fluency in English is required 7+ years of financial experience, preferably within the MedTech, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences industry Experience in or with business unit finance with strong knowledge of the industry dynamics and regulatory frameworks Proven leadership and partnering skills with the ability to influence and drive strategic change (strong interpersonal skills, team player mentality, collaborative working style, excellent communication, influencing and framing skills) Strategic thinker with adaptability and resilience mindset, able to balance risk and opportunity and to navigate in the evolving MedTech regulations and market disruptions Exceptional financial and analytical skills, results oriented and business performance driven, expertise in financial modelling and capital investment analysis Innovations champion to embrace automation and financial transformation with ERP systems experience, financial automation tools and with digital & data-driven mindset to leverage AI and analytics for strategic financial decision-making High degree of intellectual curiosity, open minded for changes and new ways of working, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to deal with complexity and drive outcomes Required Skills: Preferred Skills: Budget Management, Coaching, Execution Focus, Expense Controls, Financial Analysis, Financial Competence, Financial Forecasting, Financial Reports, Financial Risk Management (FRM), Financial Trends, Internal Controls, Process Improvements, Risk Management, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, Strategic Thinking, Technical Credibility, Training People, Vendor Management The anticipated base pay range for this position is: kr614,000.00 - kr1,059,150.00 Benefits: In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
