The Finance & Accounting Manager oversees all aspects of day-to-day operations and finance and serves as the primary contact for human resources. Working closely with the CEO, the Finance & Accounting Manager assists in the preparing of budgets, provides regular financial updates, and serves as a resource to the Finance and Investment Committees of the Board. This position also supports the CEO in ensuring adherence to HR best financial practices and to developing and maintaining a culture reflective of NCF’s values and in support of NCF’s mission.

-        Lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CEO; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.

-        Brief the CEO, Treasurer, and Finance Committee of the organization’s financial standing on a quarterly basis.

-        Meet regularly with the Treasurer to ensure proper financial oversight.

-        Provide support to the Finance and Investment Committees, providing regular updates and reports.

-        Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accountants receivable (AR), including gift processing.

-        Serve as liaison to NCF’s outsourced financial services vendor.

-        Manage insurance policies for office equipment, NCF vehicles, etc.

-        Work closely with Board of Trustee’s Committee Chairs, helping to inform capital campaign, budgeting, and investment decisions.

-        Serve as main liaison to the auditor. Generate financial and back-up reports related to the year-end audit.

-        Serve as a member of the Marketing, Development & Finance team.

-        Work with CEO to ensure all policies align with the NCF’s mission, vision, core values, and objectives, and support our organizational culture.


Requirements

-        Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred or 5 years of experience in an equivalent position. CPA is desirable.

-        Demonstrated experience with not-for-profit restricted funds accounting

-        Demonstrated experience overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

-        Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Online, MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and operational databases

-        Experience with Blackbaud software, including Financial Edge, is desirable

-        Outstanding attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills

-        Ability to handle confidential material with discretion

-        Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to take direction

-        Be willing to take on additional projects and responsibilities as requested

-        Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, set high standards for accuracy and efficiency, and demonstrate a strong work ethic


Benefits

-        Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000
