Field Accounting Administrator
LOCATION: Troy, MIPosition Overview
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Field Accounting Administrator to support the daily financial and administrative operations of the branch. This position is responsible for a variety of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and accounting functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional internal and external customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions

Accurately enter rate and material billing into the ActiMate system.

Coordinate billing with the Home Office for national accounts.

Prepare and post final customer invoices.

Assemble complete billing packages and distribute invoices to customers.

Maintain accurate billing files and historical financial records.

Assist in tracking Home Depot and Lowe's receipts to ensure project costs are recorded accurately.

Enter Time & Material (T&M) billing into T&M Pro.

Coordinate with the National Billing Team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections.

Process accounts payable transactions.

Prepare and process check runs.

Manage vendor onboarding and maintain compliance with vendor requirements.

Participate in month-end review and accounting close activities.

Create and issue purchase orders.

Collaborate with local and national operations teams to promote customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and overall company success.

Perform additional administrative, accounting, and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-
Minimum of one (1) year of administrative, accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and Google Workspace.

Experience with accounting or ERP software preferred (ActiMate and T&M Pro experience is a plus).

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements

Occasionally lift 5–40 pounds without assistance (up to 15% of the time).

Sit for extended periods throughout the workday.

Perform repetitive keyboarding and data entry tasks.
