Director – Contracts, Procurement, and Compliance

Strategic Growth Partners (SGP) is seeking a Director to run our division day-to-day, overseeing four functions (Contracts, Procurement / Sourcing, Certifications, and Risk & Compliance) and the specialist contractors who staff them.

This is the senior operating role beneath the President. You own the shared intake queue, make sure every request is assigned and answered on time, run each engagement from discovery to close, and serve as the escalation point for clients and the team. You are also the person who knows when to bring in Legal or the President, and who keeps the company's and clients' certifications and government-contract compliance current./

Status: Remote,Full-time, exempt

Reports to: President

Compensation: $130,000–$140,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run the division day-to-day across four desks: Contracts, Procurement / Sourcing, Certifications, and Risk & Compliance.

• Own the shared intake / ticketing queue: Ensure triage of requests, assignments to each owner, and hold the team to service commitments (acknowledgment, initial outreach, resolution).

• Manage and coordinate the 1099 contractor team on the contracts, procurement, and compliance desks, setting priorities, standards, and deadlines.

• Serve as the main point of contact and escalation POC for requests; keep clients and leadership informed.

• Run engagements from discovery through execution and close: discovery calls, action plans, and follow-through.

• Keep the company's and clients' certifications and accreditations current and ensure government-contract compliance obligations are met.

• Maintain policies and procedures and run a standing governance-and-risk cadence across the desks.

• Identify when a matter needs legal support and engage Legal with the right context; loop in the President on material items.

• Report on queue health, turnaround, and risk to the President.

• Maintain an objective governance-and-risk review independent of day-to-day delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years in compliance, contracts, procurement, or a related operations role.

• Ability to problem solve and think out of the box.

• Direct experience in government contracting (federal and ideally SLED procurement and contract compliance).

• Proven people-management experience: you have managed a team (employees and / or contractors) and been accountable for their output and deadlines.

• Working knowledge of certifications and accreditations relevant to government contracting.

• Experience with contract types common to government contracting (MSA, SOW, teaming agreements, and NDAs) and with procurement / sourcing.

• Familiarity with governance, risk, and audit processes.

• Strong organization, follow-through, and judgment; comfortable owning an intake queue and published service commitments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication; credible with clients and a natural escalation point.

• Sound instincts on when to escalate to Legal or leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience running a shared-services or ticketed intake model.

• Credentials such as CFCM / CPCM, CO / COR, or a compliance certification.
