Controller

Job Overview The Accounting Controller will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and internal controls across several service-based businesses. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to contribute to high-level financial strategy while ensuring accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations for multiple companies
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Consolidate financial statements across entities
• Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Work with external tax advisors as needed
• Supervise accounting staff and support ongoing development
• Implement process improvements and financial systems enhancements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support strategic decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the service related industry
• Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity financial management
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a controller or senior accountant role supporting executive leadership is a plus

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
