Role Overview The Finance Controller – Nordics is a key leadership role responsible for the financial management, reporting, and compliance of Vertiv’s operations across Sweden, Finland, and Norway. This is a high-impact position within a rapidly growing region, with Finland under formation (projected revenue of $350M in FY2027) and Norway and Sweden experiencing significant growth. The role requires a hands-on leader who can build financial infrastructure in new entities while maintaining robust controls in established operations. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for all Nordic entities (Sweden, Finland, Norway) Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements (IFRS where applicable) Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for the Nordic region Coordinate with the EMEA Group Controller and Corporate Consolidations team on reporting deliverables Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain and strengthen the system of internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements and Vertiv corporate policies Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements across all three jurisdictions Oversee local tax compliance (corporate income tax, VAT, payroll taxes, transfer pricing) supported by local tax advisors Act as the primary finance contact for internal and external auditors for the Nordic entities Ensure adherence to Vertiv’s Chart of Accounts policies and intercompany accounting procedures Entity Formation & ERP Implementation Support the financial setup and Oracle ERP implementation for Vertiv Finland (new entity under formation) Establish financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks for newly formed entities Partner with the Global EPM Implementation team on system configurations and chart of accounts setup Ensure proper legal entity structuring and registration compliance across Nordic jurisdictions Business Partnering Serve as a trusted financial advisor to local business leaders in Sweden, Finland, and Norway Provide financial insights and analysis to support commercial decision-making Monitor working capital performance (accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory) and drive improvements Support revenue recognition assessments for complex contracts and project-based business Team Leadership & Development Coordinate with the GBS (Global Business Services) team, located in Cluj (Romania) on transactional accounting activities Ensure knowledge transfer and continuity across the Nordic finance function Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence Qualificatations & Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA, or Nordic equivalent) Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior finance leadership role Experience with US GAAP reporting and SOX compliance in a multinational environment Strong knowledge of Nordic statutory requirements (Swedish, Finnish, and/or Norwegian GAAP) Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (EBS or Fusion Cloud) Fluency in English; proficiency in Swedish, Finnish, or Norwegian is a strong advantage Preferred Experience in the technology, industrial, or critical infrastructure sector Track record of supporting entity formations or greenfield operations Experience managing relationships with external tax advisors and auditors across multiple jurisdictions Familiarity with ARCs or similar account reconciliation platforms Master’s degree in Finance, MBA, or equivalent Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, matrix environment Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures and organisational levels Resilience and adaptability in managing complexity across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously High integrity, strong governance mindset, and commitment to compliance Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority What We Offer A pivotal role in shaping the financial infrastructure of a high-growth Nordic region Direct reporting line to the EMEA Group Controller with high visibility to senior leadership Competitive compensation package aligned with Nordic market benchmarks A collaborative, global work environment with clear career development pathways Our Core Principles The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principles & Behaviors to help deliver our strategic priorities.
