Sands Anderson is seeking a Client Accounting & Revenue Coordinator to join our Finance & Accounting team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the firm's financial performance by partnering with attorneys and clients to manage collections, cash application, accounts receivable, billing and revenue management activities.

Collections & Client Account Management
- Monitor aging accounts receivable and support collection efforts in partnership with attorneys and firm leadership.
- Prepare client account analyses, aging reports, and payment status updates.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and account balances.
- Partner with attorneys and clients to resolve payment allocation questions and outstanding account issues.
- Support initiatives to improve collection performance and reduce aged accounts receivable balances.
Cash Application & Accounts Receivable
- Process and apply client payments, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and check receipts accurately and timely within the firm's accounting system.
- Perform daily cash application activities while maintaining accurate transaction records.
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, short pays, overpayments, and account variances.
- Reconcile client account balances and investigate billing and payment exceptions.
- Ensure all cash receipts are properly recorded and reconciled to client and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of client financial records and payment history.
Billing & Revenue Management
- Partner with attorneys to manage monthly billing processes, work-in-progress (WIP), and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and distribute attorney billing reports, WIP reports, accounts receivable reports, and collection activity summaries.
- Coordinate invoice preparation, review, and submission.
- Manage client electronic billing (e-billing) platforms and ensure compliance with client billing guidelines.
- Research and resolve billing issues, invoice rejections, and client inquiries.
- Monitor billing status and assist attorneys in achieving timely invoice submission and payment collection goals.
- Analyze billing trends and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and client service.
Reporting
- Analyze billing, collection, and payment data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain data integrity within accounting and billing systems.
- Support special projects related to revenue management, process improvement, and operational efficiencies.
Client Service & Team Collaboration
- Provide responsive support to attorneys, staff, clients, and vendors.
- Develop trusted working relationships across practice groups and Administration.
- Cross-train and provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, cash application, accounting, or revenue management.
- Experience processing high-volume cash receipts, payment posting, reconciliations, and accounts receivable activities preferred.
- Law firm or professional services accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with electronic billing platforms and accounting software preferred.
- Experience with SurePoint or similar legal accounting software is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with cash application processes, payment reconciliation, and accounts receivable management.
- Understanding of accounting principles related to billing, collections, and cash receipts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
