Position Description & Responsibilities
- Lead post-close accounting engagements following mergers and acquisitions.
- Prepare opening balance sheet adjustments and purchase accounting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Manage Purchase Price Accounting (PPA) processes and Net Working Capital (NWC) true-ups.
- Support clients through complex accounting transition and integration activities.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting, inventory accounting, and equity transactions.
- Review financial statements and ensure strict accuracy and compliance with all accounting standards.
- Lead accounting software implementations and system data migration projects.
- Evaluate existing accounting workflows and confidently recommend process improvements.
- Design reporting structures, operational accounting procedures, and internal controls.
- Serve as the primary, strategic point of contact for assigned client engagements.
- Review work performed by accounting staff and actively mentor junior team members.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 to 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience with post-close accounting and M&A integration.
- Hands-on background handling Purchase Price Accounting (PPA) and Net Working Capital (NWC) true-ups.
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically including ASC 606.
- Experience with modern accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Ramp, or Bill.com.
- Strong client-facing communication skills and a proven capability to lead engagements.
- Prior background in transaction advisory or outsourced client accounting services (CAS).
- Strong understanding of private company accounting operations and scalability.
- Comfort in independently leading complex accounting projects and working directly with executive clients.
