Client Accounting Services Staff

Job description:

• Assist with daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and process journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and organize supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for internal and client use.
• Support payroll processing and sales tax filings, as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with firm standards, accounting principles, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Take ownership of tasks and work with others to prioritize work assignments
• Handle multiple engagements at one time and meet deadlines
• Ask appropriate questions when faced with difficulties
• Produce deliverables that are clear, concise, thorough and of professional quality
• Dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• 1-3 years of experience in public or private accounting
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Highly detail-oriented, organized and proactive
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service focus
• Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks; knowledge of CCH Axcess and Engagement a plus
• Technical skills reflective of experience
• An ability to work within a team framework and comfortable reporting to multiple people
