The Payroll & Accounts Payable Bookkeeper earns a competitive hourly wage based on education, training, and experience. A Day in the Life of a Bookkeeper As our Bookkeeper, you help ensure that employees are paid correctly and vendors are paid accurately and on time. You process payroll for all four companies, review approved timecards and payroll changes, maintain payroll records, coordinate authorized deductions, and assist with payroll reporting. You also manage the day-to-day accounts-payable process. You receive, organize, code, and enter invoices; verify that appropriate approvals and documentation have been obtained; maintain vendor records; reconcile vendor statements; and prepare checks and electronic payments for management approval. Because our organizations include four affiliated companies, you help allocate payroll and shared expenses to the correct company, department, and location. You also assist with reconciliations, month-end and year-end activities, W-2 and 1099 reporting, and requests from management and outside accountants. You report to the Human Resources Manager and work closely with company leadership and accounting personnel. Your ability to maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and catch discrepancies makes you an important part of our administrative team. Qualifications Work Schedule This is a part-time, non-exempt position requiring approximately 20–25 hours per week.
